    The West Virginia University football coaching staff has named its award winners for outstanding performances in the Mountaineers’ 56-20 win against East Carolina on Saturday, Sept. 9.

    Offensive Champion –David Sills V

    Defensive Champion – Kyzir White

    Special Teams Champion – Marvin Gross Jr.

    Offensive Scout Team Champion – Lorenzo Dorr

    Defensive Scout Team Champion – Deamonte Lindsay.

    Sills V is going to make a name for himself this year.  He’s got the combination of size and speed that makes your toes curl if you’re a DB.

    It’s really good to see Deamonte pop up on this list. Obviously familiar with his game from covering the Eastern Panhandle back then, plus his brother Quada played soccer and basketball at Keyser his senior year.

    Wonder if he can threaten Stedman Bailey’s touchdown record this year? Seems like he at least gets one target every time we get into the red zone.
