Sunday game lineup is very odd. 10am at one field. Pack up, rest, eat, warm up for a 4pm game at another field “close” to the first. Just an odd set up for a double header.
It was not originally scheduled that way.
WVU was going to play Coastal on Monday. However, there’s a strong rain chance that day, and WVU can’t stay over another day if it’s cancelled, so moving it to play on Sunday was the call. That happens a lot in collegiate baseball in order to get games in. Teams don’t want to lose games altogether, so schedule adjustments are pretty common.
Coastal, as the host team for this event, plays all of its games on campus in Conway. All the other games are at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans minor league park in MB. They are only about 12 miles apart.
