I think Dana will become a better head coach this year, or maybe a more complete coach, by having the time during games to watch the game flow and make corrections or suggestions as needed.

Maybe this is why he was talking with the officials?

This year It seems to be a fine line between questioning calls the officials make and getting a penalty for transgressing the new rules on behavior.

From what Dana described he was just questioning, but I guess some could label it complaining in a boisterous manner.  As the season progresses it will be instructive to see how Dana reacts.

Not that Kevin and I agree on everything, but I also thought even before the season that despite the promise of a kinder, gentler Dana when it comes to his interaction with officials, that by removing the playcalling from his play, he could actually have more time to argue. Game one did not prove us wrong, but we’ll see how the rest of the season goes.
