At 6-foot-4 and in the neighborhood of 245 pounds, David Logan looks more like a fullback than a shooting guard. But after averaging 19 points a game last year as a freshman and 21 this season as a sophomore, the Logan (W.Va.) High star is already getting plenty of attention.

Early has led the Wildcats to a 14-7 record so far this season with one regular season game remaining – at Capital. He also was the starting quarterback for Logan’s football team as a freshman, though his sophomore season on the gridiron was cut short by an injury.

Marshall extended a scholarship offer to Early a while back, and West Virginia has also followed suit. Xavier, Missouri and Butler are some of the others who are already showing interest as well.

Below is a highlight video from his freshman season.

Good looking kid. Like it that he:
… looks like he sees the floor well
    … passes in traffic
… has a good little floater in the paint
… shoots from 3 off the dribble and catch and shoot
… has a pretty good handle
… can drive in the paint, take contact and make the shot.

Did not see a dunk other than the first shot.
Didn’t look like he was guarded closely on most of his 3’s. That will be different at the next level and in AAU.
He does look like a fullback. Another few inches and he’s a PF.
