Is a carbonated soft drink called pop or soda? … I drink coke zero and i call it pop
Can only speak based on my own limited experience. North of about DC, and basically east of let’s say Pittsburgh (these are approximate locations), it would be called soda. Going west it is called pop. Not sure how far south the soda/pop difference exists or how far west it goes. Maybe all the way to the Mississippi? To the Pacific Ocean? No clue on that.
But soda is sort of an east coast thing and changes to pop as you head west.
Agreed with cinci, depends on what part of the country you are from.
In WV, I tend to hear more “pop”. Had some northeast friends that seemed to call it soda more.
I have heard it called soda pop. Both words used together.
Pop and Coke Zero is poison as are all diet sodas.
fact is they make yer gain weight
I don’t drink it to lose weight, I drink it cause i like the taste
Depends on where you live.
Most around here say pop.
Lots on East coast [NJ and north] say soda.
If you live in Boston it is Soder.
I grew up with pop but say soda more often than not
