WVU needs to overwhelm the boards and that was clearly not reflective in the box score. The game was virtually dead even with a few steals and blocks in WVU’s favor. I do think Tschiebwe’s foul trouble and limited play contributed to that, but no way Akron should be toe to toe with WVU.

Akron scoring 84 points should bother someone on the staff!?
It did, as noted in our game story. Huggs was very unhappy with the defense. WVU did not close out well on open shooters, and while it did have a few good sequences of pressure in the half court, it allowed too many straightline drives.

Both of these have been issues for several years. Just maybe Bob should adjust his defense, it can’t be that the players are always screwing up…it happened all 4 years with JC and Dax. No matter what level of NCAA ball the other team is they always have shooters wide open in the corners knocking down 3s.
