is there any TV for this series ?May 13, 2022 at 5:22 pm #182159
Yes, there is a video stream of the WVU-OU game today and throughout the weekend, but it’s not part of the ESPN+ package. Oklahoma and Texas have their own networks and are not part of the ESPN+ package like the other Big 12 members for their home events. Oklahoma uses soonersports.com, so if you really want, you can subscribe to that if you want to watch the three WVU games this weekendMay 13, 2022 at 5:31 pm #182161
I wouldn’t spend a penny for either the OU or UT network.May 13, 2022 at 9:21 pm #182164
Another good reason to say goodbye to OUT.. and another reason to say goodbye to Bowlsby.May 13, 2022 at 9:39 pm #182166
End of 5th. OUeaves the bases loaded. BUT they still have a big inning scoring 5. 10-1 OU going into the 6th..May 13, 2022 at 10:56 pm #182172
WVU loses to Oklahoma 15-1May 14, 2022 at 12:09 pm #182187
Mazey used his season-long Sunday starter, Bravo, in middle relief last night. Who gets the ball Sunday? Braithwaite, who was stellar last Sunday against Texas?May 14, 2022 at 1:49 pm #182200
The Saturday game is not on SoonerSports. It is on Bally Sports.
And BTW, the Longhorn Network will cease to exist when Texas leaves.
Also BTW, Bowlsby did a decent job in keeping OU and UT in the Big 12 for much longer than anyone thought possible. Every time the buzz came up about leaving, he made a way to keep them in. Allowing them to keep their own nets was a part of that. If that hadn’t happened, they would have been gone long before.
And before you say good riddance, hope you are happy with the big reduction in media rights payouts that the Big 12 will suffer once they are gone.May 14, 2022 at 1:50 pm #182201
Dropout: I believe it will be Aidan Major.May 14, 2022 at 4:15 pm #182213
Thanks, Kevin!May 14, 2022 at 5:44 pm #182216
Kevin, you and love on Bowlsby all you want. Fact is ACC, B1G, SEC commish’s run circles around him.May 14, 2022 at 6:24 pm #182225
Nice win today for the good guys, although we had to sweat it out the end. A quality start from Hampton, and a welcome 14-hit explosion from the offense.May 14, 2022 at 10:02 pm #182237
I think it will be SleeperMay 15, 2022 at 2:27 pm #182242
WVU rallying from behind 3-2 in the 4th. Now scored 3 still with 0 outs and 2 on. Chased 2 from the mound.May 15, 2022 at 2:38 pm #182243
6-3 bottom of 4thMay 15, 2022 at 4:34 pm #182252
That one imploded after the back-to-back Ks with the bases loaded in the top of the 5th of a 1-run game.
Today, it didn’t matter who pitched.
Let’s get two from K-State and finish above .500 in conference.May 15, 2022 at 4:47 pm #182260
B2B 5 run innings…. OUCH!!!!
17-7May 16, 2022 at 6:10 am #182274

Not “loving on him”. Simply stating facts. BTW, Big 12 making more per team than the ACC, and its distribution of sports broadcasts blows the ACC away, so might want to reconsider that.
He did well. Saved the Big 12 multiple times when you and others said it was done. Negotiated a very good, for the time, TV deal. Not perfect, and hif he had been able to deploy a spy apparatus that detected the loss of OU and UT earlier, that would have helped. Would point out that no one else did either.May 16, 2022 at 9:37 am #182283
I’ve never said that B12 was done. NEVER. Always critical about not taking advantage of expansion BEFORE forced by defections. Critical for not forcing a B12 Network and negotiating some sort of a settlement with UT to get around The Longhorn Network. — think BE when the Commish’s weren’t proactive. — All of the other P5 conferences have Networks. There must be additional money there that Bowlsby missed. AND Swofford locked in all teams because he put together an ACC Network. Critical of him cowtowing to the wishes of UT over the good of the rest of the B12.
Being surprised by OUT leaving shows how inept Bowlsby really is. No plan to lock down the two premier TV revenu generators. No vision to expand the market size…. Ala B1G, SEC or P12 or even ACC pre B1G raid. … when not forced to do so with defections.
Bowlsby is an administrator, not a leader.
We can agree to disagree.May 17, 2022 at 7:58 am #182355

He did create a Big 12 Network. It’s on ESPN+, and is far more efficient than what the ACC and Pac 12 did. He did not “leave money there.” Try some research on that. Those two nets are not successful. So he gets criticized by you for not sticking to traditional linear thinking, even though it’s been way more successful than those two.
“Expanding the market” doesnt expand the money, as two different Big 12 expansion studies showed. Schools went through all of that, gathered info, and found that it would not increase the money being paid, and would in fact have lessened it per school. So you would have wanted him to push that decision anyway? Wow.
There was no negotiation to be done on the Longhorn network. UT was not going to shut it down or yield it in any manner with the Big 12. That’s like criticizing a US president because he cand get North Korea to give up its nukes.
