Murrell was really fast. I remember an interview with him about racing James Jett in the 100, and he said he was fast enough that he could reach out and touch Jett as the race ended. Also, he was redshirted, and after Murrell left, Don Nehlen suggested that he had regrets over the redshirt and that perhaps that would have to change with really talented players, because there was no guarantee they would spend their entire 4 years playing in college.
