IMO we don’t do enough to promote the guys that are playing overseas. We also have a significant number of ex players that are coaching around the country. Most people only know about kids getting into the NBA and that’s all they focus on and that’s how they rank the success of a program.
Promoting the guys that make a living (and sometimes very significant living) for years overseas and continue in the coaching ranks can help the recruiting process. It doesn’t just have to be about the number of one and dones that make it in the NBA. Our coaches have proven that they can develop prospects into players that can make a living playing for a few years and also make a long career in coaching.
