Hope he gets thru all of his tests OK. You don’t think about a LS getting a call to an NFL team too often. Very underrated position, but for those half to dozen plays per game you can’t afford a slip up. Bad snap can cost you 1, 3 or even give up 6 pts.
Agreed. He was already cleared on his first two tests, and now he’s signed, so all appears good to go.
Dolphins drafted a snapper who tested positive, so it’s probably that if he comes back, there’s no room for Rex.
BUT — the big thing is that he got in a camp, and if he snaps well, word will get around if another team is in search or has a need. That’s a not insignificant step – just getting noticed.
Hope it all works out for him. He was fun to talk with and interview, told good stories, and approached the game with the right balance of seriousness and humor, IMO.
