It is, as West Virginia head coach Neal Brown said, a unique situation. When a matchup between his Mountaineer team and the University of Minnesota wa

One way to stop Ciarrocca from coaching against us……….  Promote him to be our OC.

The complaints about this tend to border on the ridiculous.

WVU has an OC. Are you advocating a firing? And do you know that Ciarrocca wants to be an OC at WVU?

The solution is simple – Kirk stays in WV and on WVU’s staff until after the bowl.  That would be the “gentlemanly” way for Fleck and Brown to handle this.

Agreed.  No need for a permanent OC until bowl is over.

Was told that a bowl game does not count against a redshirt count.
Anyone know if this is true?
If true, a redshirt that has played in four games could play in the bowl and retain his redshirt. Don’t know if it would even apply to WVU this year?

Kirk has intimate knowledge of WVU’s offense. Advantage Minnesota. Might force WVU to come out in the wishbone in Phoenix on Dec. 28th.

Might be a benefit! In two ways!

Run the opposite of what he expects from certain keys!

    Experiment with different offenses!

KK, I, along with a significant number of others on this and other boards are not enamored with our current OC.  So, Yes.  And Mr Parker is the only O Coach that isn’t signed thru next year.  …..  At least at the beginning of this year that is what was reported.

too bad that he’s already working for Minnesota. Although he won’t be coaching during the bowl game, I feel rather certain that he’s preparing the team to play against the Mountaineers.

This will give them a big advantage, much more than can be gained by watching film.
