After only 4 weeks, Oklahoma and West Virginia are the only unbeaten Big 12 teams.

West Virginia will visit Texas Tech, which trounced Oklahoma State. This test will be a major step up from Kansas State and probably is the toughest battle by any Big 12 front-runner next week.

    SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29
West Virginia at Texas Tech, noon, ESPN2
    Oklahoma State at Kansas, noon
Baylor at Oklahoma, 3:30 pm, ABC
Texas at Kansas State, 3:30 pm, Fox Sports 1
Iowa State at TCU, 7 pm, ESPNU

    Oklahoma 4-0
    West Virginia 3-0
    Baylor 3-1
    Texas 3-1
    Texas Tech 3-1
    Oklahoma State 3-1
    Kansas 2-2
    Kansas State 2-2
    TCU 2-2
    Iowa State 1-2

If we can’t get by TT this week, the last 4 games will be an uphill battle. All 4 of those teams are better than TT.

Just been so many up and down results. Texas, TCU, ISU, TT and even Kansas have looked good and bad at times.

Was really surprised by the TT – OSU game.

How much more wide open is this race now?

Wide open as it gets–which benefits WVU, IMO. And I hope the idiots who vote in the polls–and in particular, the idiots that decide who “deserves” to make the “playoff” keep WVU right where we are in their “rankings.” That, more than anything else, as we all know too well, will keep this team focused.

And I hope those idiots don’t hold an 11 game schedule against us. A second W over a P5 school would go a long way to swaying the voters.

THEY WOULD BE IDIOTS IF THEY DID THAT. PLUS, IF WVU WINS THE BIG 12 TITLE GAME THAT WILL BE 12 GAMES TO LOOK OUT, AS MANY AS NOTRE DAME PLAYS.

IF GRIER KEEPS PUTTING UP PINBALL NUMBERS WITH HIS PASSING, THAT WILL HELP WVU GET THE RESPECT AND RANKINGS.

FIRST, WVU HAS TO KEEP WINNING, STARTING WITH TEXAS TECH. SO FAR, 3 TD LEAD OR MORE IS THE NORM. THAT ALONE SHOULD GET RANKERS ATTENTION.

Pinball numbers don’t get you votes. If Grier puts up floaters like he did in the 1st Q against better teams and gives up 2 int’s we are in trouble.

Ask TCU and Baylor if the extra data point doesn’t mean anything to the voters.

    Remember 2014?

Agree wholeheartedly. While Grier showed his talent yesterday he also scared the heck out of me with a handful of his throws and decisions. He has to be better or we are in trouble.
