Actually, disappointing is insufficient. This is the worst I’ve felt about WVU athletics in a very long time. Maybe in forever. I just don’t see how we can compete in the age of NIL. Country Roads Trust is a great idea but it’s starting to look like too little too late. Endorsements for Little General and a free Ford truck just don’t cut it. Usually Kevin is the pessimist and I’m the optimist, but I don’t see a way to go forward without significant limits on NIL and the portal. And the big boys won’t want that.
