All-America Honors Continue For Long, Sills, Cajuste
West Virginia linebacker David Long and wide receiver David Sills have earned spots on the Associated Press All-America Teams.
Long, a junior from Cincinnati, Oh., was named to the second team, while Sills, of Wilmington, Del., was tabbed for third team honors.
Long recorded 97 tackles during West Virginia’s 2018 11-game regular season, including 18.5 for loss, while Sills caught 61 passes for 896 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Long and Sills previously earned second-team spots on the Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America Second Teams.
Also, senior Yodny Cajuste was selected to the Football Writers’ Association of America All-America Second Team. The co-offensive lineman of the year in the Big 12, Cajuste played 708 snaps.
The current bowl status for the trio stands at 1-1-1. Sills said he was “100% playing” following the final regular season game against Oklahoma, while Cajuste recently announced he was skipping the game. Long has yet to make an announcement, but could elect to leave school a year early for a shot at the NFL, which could lead him to elect to miss the Camping World Bowl.
