Blue & Gold Classic Game Of The Week: 2005 NCAA Tournament, West Virginia vs. Wake Forest


John Beilein’s 2004-05 Mountaineer basketball team went on an incredible postseason run, advancing to the program’s first-ever Big East championship game and then following it up with a memorable NCAA performance that took WVU to the Elite Eight. The most memorable of those victories took place on the campus of Cleveland State, where West Virginia took down No. 2 seed Wake Forest, defeating Chris Paul and the Demon Deacons 111-105 in double overtime.
