Bob Huggins Happier, But Not Happy
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins has always been a hard man to please.
Following the Mountaineers 70-68 loss to St. John’s Saturday in Madison Square Garden, he certainly wasn’t happy. Five days later, after WVU blew out Austin Peay, 84-53, to improve to 8-1 on the season, Huggins was a little more content, though he still pointed out a myriad of issues with his team.
“At times our ball security is not what it needs to be,” said Huggins, who has a record of 868-363 in his 38 seasons as a head coach. “Until we get better at that, we are going to struggle like we did early in the game. We turned it over early; we struggled. (If you) don’t turn it over and you get out in transition, we are a different team.”
