Mountaineers Now Enter Second Half Of 15-Practice Spring
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Our final glimpses into the first half of West Virginia’s spring drills. The Mountaineers are now eight practices in to their 15-session spring limit, and will hold their ninth practice this afternoon inside Milan Puskar Stadium.
WVU came off its spring break from March 10-17 to hold drills on Tues., March 20 and Thurs., March 22. Both were closed to media, and today offers the first look at the Mountaineers since an open session on March 3. As it is, we take the look back at a skeleton passing and hand-off drill from that early practice, and a listen to the early thoughts of offensive coordinator Jake Spavital.
Spavital, below, enters his second season as West Virginia’s OC. Here, the assistant coach speaks to the early installation, the goals for the spring and how the Mountaineers plan to mold and add to the offense this spring.
