Last Second Tip-In Lifts Penn State To Exhibition Win Over WVU
MORGANTOWN, W.Va.–Penn State broke an 82-82 tie with a tip-in with one second left to secure a two-point victory over West Virginia’s men’s basketball team in an exhibition game Saturday afternoon at the WVU Coliseum.
The Nittany Lions led most of the way, including holding a 43-31 advantage at halftime. WVU battled back in the second half but couldn’t secure a PSU miss in the final seconds, leaving an open alley for Penn State’s John Reaves to get to the offensive rebound and tip it in for the victory. WVU did have a last-gasp try, but it went for naught.
West Virginia opens its regular season next Friday when it hosts Buffalo at 9 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
