KANSAS CITY, Mo. — West Virginia’s unexpected run at the Big 12 Championship continued with a victory over #2 seed Texas Tech in the quarterfinals on Thursday evening at the Sprint Center. Emmitt Matthews scored a career high 28 points to power the Mountaineers to a 79-74 win.
