It takes time for things to come together. Hopefully it coming together just in time for great finish to the season. With two senior guards it easy to forget how young this team is. Ahmad a junior and everyone else who much are sophomores and freshmen

Think that the halfcourt defense is really the key for WVU the rest of this year. The full court press is ok, but it’s not going to get to last year’s levels. The Mountaineers must play in the halfcourt as they did against TCU – pinning the ball on one side and funneling it on drives.

Those challenges cnage against different personnel with different skills, so what worked against TCU won’t necessarily work against Kansas or Texas. But, as Matt points out, it’s the effort and energy that serve as the building blocks, and it WVU gets that it has a chance to finish the regular season strongly.

Agree both the full court and half court play was efficient
and energetic. One of the best this year with one problem.
TCU was still getting wide open 3 pt shots that thankfully
they were missing. We have a tendency to drop off spotted
3 pt shooters to provide help not needed. This will spell
disaster against Kansas if not corrected.
