Providing Tickets To WVHeroes
West Virginia’s athletic department is providing its fans an avenue to send those who serve to a Mountaineer football game this season.
WVU, IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions and the West Virginia Lottery have teamed up to take care of those that serve and protect us each and every day with the inaugural WV Heroes program.
For $20 per ticket, individuals can provide a memorable experience to local West Virginia veterans, active duty military and first responders and their families by sending them to a Mountaineer football game this fall. The West Virginia Lottery will match the first 500 tickets purchased for the WVHeroes program.
“WVU Athletics and Mountaineer fans everywhere are very grateful for the dedication and sacrifices made by our military members, veterans and first responders,” said WVU senior associate athletic director of external affairs, Matt Wells said. “We are fortunate to be able to partner with the West Virginia Lottery to launch this new program to give back to the hard-working people who give to us every day.”
“This gives us an opportunity to say thank you to our military families, veterans and first responders for all that they do,” said Tommy Young, the deputy director of marketing for the West Virginia Lottery said. “The West Virginia Lottery is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of all West Virginians, including our heroes and their families that sacrifice for us.”
Fans that sponsor five or more HEROES will be entered to win pregame field passes and other exciting prizes.
