I’ve decided that Teddy Allen has a little bit of that “Old Man at the YMCA” game that Georges Diang displayed so effectively in his days at Iowa State. Not incredibly athletic, but deceptive. He knows how to use what he does have really really effectively.

He will score ugly and WVU fans will love him. Pair him with McCabe and the other fan bases are really going to hate the Mountaineers. 🙂

If Teddy will keep working to play better defense Huggins will make him a star. He just looks like a Huggins kind of guy.

Teddy’s high school coach last year compared him to Da’Sean Butler, and so far that comparison is spot on, in my opinion. Now he has a long ways to go to be as good as Da’Sean was his senior season, but he has that same type of game. He’s got to become a better outside shooter (just 1-of-14 from thee to this point) and obviously improve his defense, but I think Teddy has a chance to be a very nice four-year player for WVU. And also selfishly for us media type, just like Da’Sean, Teddy is a very good interview. I understand that’s not important to many outside the media world, but for me, that’s a big plus because this year’s team doesn’t have many good interviews.
