YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State battled West Virginia for 38 minutes, but in the end the Mountaineers imposed their will and pulled out a 75-64 victory.


WVU head coach Bob Huggins didn’t think his club was focused in the early going.


West Virginia’s freshman forward Oscar Tshiebwe not only had 19 points, but he also created 10 Youngstown State fouls in the Mountaineers’ 75-64 victory.


West Virginia’s forward Derek Culver posted 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the homecoming for the Youngstown native.
