Harris averaged nearly 18 points and more than 11 rebounds per game for the Spartans, who were Ohio Division IV state semifinalists this year. He was one of seven players selected to the division’s all-district first team.

Harris’ commitment continues the strong recruiting presence West Virginia holds in Ohio and with the All-Ohio Red summer team. The Mountaineers’ 2021 recruiting class is comprised of a pair of Ohioans — Kobe Johnson and Seth Wilson — while the current roster is anchored by Buckeye state natives Deuce McBride and Derek Culver.
Harris held more than a dozen offers, and chose the Mountaineers over a final group that included Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Xavier.
