    Ok, I’ll be your Huckleberry.

So where is the football program going? No question that it is a difficult task to finish at the top of the Big 12. The last seven years have confirmed that. But again, where is this program going?

Perhaps the hoopla and pomp and circumstance surrounding the joining of the Big 12 was unreasonable. Probably so but there sure was a lot of optimism from the AD. So where are we?

Money, facilities, recruiting and coaching  ALL had to improve. Well the money SHOULD be there and the facilities are improving. What about the recruiting and coaching? Better? How much so? If it comes down to money and facilities then why are Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State  so much more successful than say Tennessee, Florida, Texas or A&M?

I heard once again last night on the Sunday Sportsline that next year this team could be very good. Yee haw!

Mountaineer fans can be unrealistic, especially us old folk. But we can be reasonable as well after the game is over.

    So where IS our game?…

    Go Mountaineers!

Everyone who believes the big 12 is so unbelievably good remember that Iowa State lost to mediocre Iowa and Kansas State lost to Vanderbilt! Those were wvu’s two best wins. No way to sugarcoat it with a national high school player of the year playing QB that was a bad season!
