The West Virginia University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have been named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic performance during the 2018 spring semester.
For the 21st consecutive semester, the Mountaineer women’s team earned the national honor after recording a cumulative grade point average of 3.46. The WVU men earned a 3.12 GPA and received the accolade for the third time in the last four semesters.
Each participating Big 12 Conference swimming and diving program was named to the Scholar All-American Teams in the spring semester. The conference is one of four nationally to have all teams accomplish the feat.
The award, presented twice a year, recognizes college and university swimming and diving teams who achieved a cumulative semester GPA of 3.0 or higher.
In all, 710 teams from 476 schools were named to the Scholar All-America list for the 2018 spring semester.
